Whytecliff Park

The Curvy Bay

Milky way above going into the Pacific Ocean. Love the curvy shoreline extend all the way to that little island in the middle. It is called the ‘Whyte Islet Park’ and interestingly that is part of Bowen Island and not West Vancouver.

Calm Night

This location is likely the closest to the city that you can have a chance to take a shot of the milky way

  1. Nice photos! I really want to go back there. I had been years ago, and didn’t get good shots of the Milky Way at all, lol. But your photos make me want to revisit the place. I’ll probably go in the spring.

Also, there’s an other place close to Vancouver where it’s possible to get Milky Way photos: Iona Beach Park. If you go on the jetty, all the way to the end, it’s quite dark. The landscape isn’t as pretty as Whytecliff tho.
