Sunrise Glory

A lovely morning at Upper Kananaskis Lake waiting for sunrise. After a long night shoot at the lower lake and then headed to the upper lake quietly waiting. It was a very peaceful morning!

Star Painting

Milky way above treeline with a bright star shine on the lake surface as wind blowing strong this evening. The waves on the lake moving quickly causing the wiggly lines with the long exposure! Not a usual capture on the lake surface…!
Have a great evening!

Twilight vs. Midnight

A cloudy night camping out near Merrit, BC. Hoping for the night to clear up after the sun went down. I was pretty happy when I saw the blue sky at twilight with just a little clouds in the sky.

But as the night turned darker, the night sky was covered with clouds and left just a small window to see the milky way. And this is what I’ve got on that same night.

Not a very satisfying results as there are still many lights from the campsite that night! I’ve been trying to find new location for a night photography workshop for next year that is closer to Lower Mainland of Vancouver. And this could be a fantastic location for a beginner to learn how to take photo of the night sky! Will you be interested in a workshop in BC?

The Road, My Car and I

It’s been a while since last post with some aerial photo. Let’s show some of the new one from my recent trip to Rockies. But no, these are not from the Rockies. They are from the Cariboo Regional District taken on my way back home. It was a magical day passing through many beautiful places covered with fresh snow.

Grace Lake

Let’s keep the aerial flow going while we are staying home finding more and more things you wanted to do for years. This time is another aerial experience of a small lake called Grace Lake located near Harrison in British Columbia, Canada. There is a recreation site right next to the lake, it is small but very popular during the camping season and it even have a floating dock for fishing. To go from Vancouver, you can take the Highway 7 to Harrison Mills. Turn left onto Morris Valley Road and drive 11 km. Travel 0.15 km on the FSR and turn left at the entrance to Grace Lake Recreation Site.
